Contributing to sustainable development

Climate change is the main challenge of our time. Its consequences are becoming increasingly visible to everyone. Schaeffler's objective is therefore to do everything in its power to reduce the negative effects to a minimum. Sustainable corporate success means assuming not only economic but also ecological and social responsibility along the entire value chain. Doing business sustainably means for Schaeffler to handle natural resources responsibly and efficiently so that they can also be used by future generations.

Schaeffler is comprehensively addressing sustainability and, in particular, the issue of climate protection. The objective of these efforts is to expand sustainable production, further increase the use of climate-friendly materials, and to develop innovative products that enable a future worth living for everyone. The company is actively involved in climate protection and has committed itself to both the Paris Agreement and the broader sustainability approach of the 17 UN (SDGs), which cover more areas than climate protection.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
As part of the Agenda 2030, the United Nations (UN) has formulated 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These encompass economic, ecological and social aspects.
